How To Stay On Track During The Holidays 🎄

Christmas is near and with it comes late night dinners, endless desserts spread and missed gym sessions. But, all is not lost yet. You can still keep your healthy lifestyle on track (more or less) in these 3 simple steps.
It's officially the most wonderful and tempting month of the year Souperstars!
Yes you guessed it, Christmas is near and with it comes late night dinners, endless desserts spread and missed gym sessions. But, all is not lost yet. You can still keep your healthy lifestyle on track (more or less) in these 3 simple steps.

First Up: Your Favourites! 😋
Whether that's mince pies, pigs in blankets or that cheese board you've been craving, make sure to fit in your favourite foods first. Plate up a small portion and saviour it slowly. You'll be satisfying your cravings first leaving less space for the 'empty carbs'

Stick to your routine (as much as possible)
We are not suggesting you stick to your 5 am wake up call during the Christmas holidays. We've all deserved a lay in and slowing down is definitely on our Wishlist too this year, but do pay attention to loss of sleep. In fact, lack of sleep can make it harder for your body to regulate blood sugars, increasing your cravings for sugars and carbs. Make sure you are still getting your 7-8 hours sleep a day!

Stay Active! 🚴🏼‍♂️
Exercise will probably be the last thing on your mind during this season but do try and make the effort to keep moving. In fact regular exercise, even a walk after lunch with friends and family will help you burn those extra calories while also relaxing you during, what can be, a very stressful time of year.
So Souperstars, don't forget to watch your eating habits over Christmas while also enjoying yourself and letting go. At the end of the day, it's all about balance and moderation! 💚
